Welcome to the Sri Lanka Cricket Umpires’ Association

The Sri Lanka Cricket Umpires’ Association (ACU) is home to umpires past and present officiating in SL. Our members’ officiating duties range from those in juniors to those who have or are representing Sri Lanka in Test matches, One Day International fixtures, and interstate domestic competitions.

The ACU has a strong and proud history forming in the early part of 1976 as the first umpiring association in Sri Lanka and one of the first in SL. The ACU’s key objective is to deliver and promote the game of cricket and the umpires who support it. With a strong member base, history, and future the ACU leads as one of the strongest umpiring associations in Asia and worldwide.

Cricket owes much of its appeal and enjoyment to the fact that it should be played according to the Laws and within the Spirit of Cricket.
Umpiring is one of the most important roles in Cricket and offers a fantastic avenue to be involved in the game you love. Cricket Sri Lanka, through the network of Provincial and Local Cricket Clubs, can provide a significant amount of assistance for those seeking to become an umpire.
